1. About these terms
Brick is operated by Lucas Thoolen, based in the Netherlands (“we”, “us”, or “our”). You can contact us at brick@lusaggo.com. These terms apply to the Brick website and hosted guild services.
By using the hosted service, you agree to these terms. Please read them before signing in. If you do not agree, you may stop using the hosted service. Merely reading this website does not authorize access to your provider accounts or constitute consent to optional processing of personal data.
The desktop software is available under the MIT license, which governs your rights to use, copy, modify, and distribute it. These service terms do not reduce those rights. Mandatory consumer and data-protection rights continue to apply.
2. The service
Brick helps supported World of Warcraft guilds install and update Advance Raid Tools, view guild rosters and shared streams, and review recordings alongside Warcraft Logs. Downloads are public. Private guild features require a Discord account with an eligible membership and role.
The hosted service is currently free. These terms do not authorize us to charge you. Any future paid offering would require separate pricing information and your agreement before a charge.
Available features depend on your Brick version, operating system, guild configuration, and connected providers. Streams can become unavailable and recording alignment may need correction. Brick is not an archival service, so keep your own copies of material you need to preserve.
3. Accounts and guild access
Use accounts you are authorized to use, provide accurate information, and take reasonable care of your credentials and device. Notify us if you believe someone has gained unauthorized access to Brick through your account.
Brick is not intended for children under 13. You must meet the age requirements that apply in your country and on each connected service. If you cannot enter this agreement independently, obtain the permission required from a parent or guardian. Separate parental permission may also be required for consent-based processing, as explained in the privacy policy.
Discord membership and roles determine which guild panels you can access. Officers can manage information within their guild’s permissions. Leaving a guild, losing an eligible role, or revoking Discord authorization can end that access. Contact us if an access check appears incorrect. Guild membership decisions remain with the relevant guild.
4. Addon installation and updates
When you select a World of Warcraft installation, you authorize Brick to install Advance Raid Tools and keep it updated while Brick is running and signed in. The managed folders are AdvanceRaidTools, AdvanceRaidTools_Libraries, and AdvanceRaidTools_Options; these are components of one addon.
Verified updates replace those folders, including manual changes inside them. Select the correct WoW installation and keep copies of any personal modifications you want to preserve. You can stop automatic addon installation by closing Brick, signing out, or removing the configured installation.
Brick verifies signed update metadata and package hashes. Updates to the Brick app itself are offered separately and require your action to install. Verification helps establish a package’s authenticity and integrity; it does not establish that the software has no defects.
5. Your content and permitted use
What sharing permits
You retain any rights you hold in the profiles, links, and other material you submit. You give us a non-exclusive permission to store, reproduce, process, and display that material only as needed to operate the features you request, including making it available to authorized members of your selected guild. Service providers may process it on our behalf for those purposes. This permission does not authorize advertising use or give us ownership of your recordings.
Only share material you have the right to share. Consider the privacy of people identifiable in a stream, recording, or combat report. An unlisted video link can be passed on and viewed outside Brick. Copyright permission and a lawful basis to process someone’s personal data are separate requirements.
This permission ends when the relevant material is removed from the service, except for restricted retention required by law or necessary to deal with an existing legal claim. Personal data, shared history, and recovery copies remain subject to the privacy policy and your statutory rights. Removing a current channel registration does not itself remove earlier recordings.
Service rules
- Do not use another person’s credentials or access private guild information without permission.
- Do not bypass access controls, provider restrictions, or rate limits, or disrupt the service through malware or abusive traffic.
- Do not use Brick for harassment, unlawful surveillance, or sharing content that infringes privacy, copyright, or other legal rights.
- Respect the rules of the games and platforms you connect, and do not present Brick as granting permissions those services have not given you.
You may report security issues privately to brick@lusaggo.com. Use accounts and data you control, and avoid disclosing credentials or other people’s information in public reports.
6. YouTube and other connected services
Brick uses YouTube API Services. By using Brick’s YouTube features, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google’s processing is explained in the Google Privacy Policy.
Public YouTube channel and video sharing does not require Google account authorization. Public discovery may be delayed or unavailable, and sharing a channel does not verify ownership. Optional YouTube and Twitch viewing sign-in is separate from channel sharing. Providers control sign-in, playback, advertisements, and subscription benefits. Brick does not guarantee ad-free viewing or access to content restricted by a provider. Twitch use is subject to its Terms of Service and Privacy Notice.
Discord, Warcraft Logs, GitHub, and World of Warcraft are also governed by their respective terms. Provider interruptions, quota limits, and changes to embedding or visibility settings can affect Brick’s features. A shared link gives you no ownership of the recording or additional right to download, copy, or redistribute it.
Brick is an independent community project. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Blizzard Entertainment, Discord, Google/YouTube, Twitch, Warcraft Logs, or GitHub. Their names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
7. Content reports and access restrictions
To report unlawful content, a copyright issue, or misuse, email brick@lusaggo.com. Identify the content or location, explain your concern, and provide a contact address and any supporting information you can lawfully share. Please state that your report is accurate and made in good faith.
We may remove content or restrict access where reasonably necessary to address a breach of these terms, a security threat, unlawful activity, or a legal requirement. We consider the nature and seriousness of the issue and the appropriate scope of the restriction. Urgent risks can require action without advance notice.
Where legally permitted and consistent with protecting users and an investigation, we will explain a restriction and how to ask for review. You can challenge a decision by emailing us with the relevant details. A review request will be considered by the operator; it does not prevent you from using any statutory complaint or court procedure.
8. Privacy and ending use
The privacy policy explains what Brick processes, why, who receives it, and how to exercise your data-protection rights. Acceptance of these terms does not replace consent where consent is needed, waive a privacy right, or require you to keep using Brick to exercise that right.
You can stop using the hosted service, disconnect optional providers, revoke provider authorizations, or uninstall Brick at any time. Signing out, uninstalling, or losing guild access does not automatically delete historical server data or original content held by another platform.
Contact brick@lusaggo.com to request access, export, correction, or erasure, including after your access ends. Shared records and recovery copies are considered as part of the request. Where applicable law gives you a separate right to retrieve content you provided or created, we will honor that right too.
9. Service standards and responsibility
We will use reasonable care and skill in operating Brick. We cannot promise uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every system, or perfectly accurate third-party data and recording alignment. Maintenance, security incidents, and provider changes may interrupt features. These limitations do not excuse a failure to meet obligations imposed by law.
You are responsible for choosing the correct installation folders, the material you submit, and keeping your own copies of important files. Our responsibility for loss caused by our acts or omissions is determined by applicable law. These terms do not impose a blanket waiver of compensation or a requirement to indemnify us.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Statutory consumer remedies and rights to compensation under data-protection law remain available. The MIT license separately addresses the software’s warranties and liability, subject to applicable mandatory law.
10. Changes to the service or these terms
We may change Brick to maintain security, comply with law, respond to provider or technical changes, improve features, or manage the resources needed to operate a free service. We may also need to discontinue a feature or the hosted service.
For changes that materially affect your use or rights, we will provide reasonable advance notice and explain the change, unless a legal or urgent security requirement prevents that notice. Where applicable law requires notice on a durable medium, such as email or a document you can save, or gives you a right to terminate or retrieve content, those requirements apply.
The date above identifies this version of the terms. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights or claims you already have. If a change requires your agreement, we will obtain it. You may stop using the hosted service if you do not accept revised terms; your software-license and statutory rights remain intact.
11. Applicable law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections under the law that would otherwise apply in your country of habitual residence.
You can raise a concern with brick@lusaggo.com. You do not have to complete our support process before contacting a regulator or bringing a claim. Disputes may be brought before any court that has jurisdiction under applicable law, including your local courts where consumer rules provide that right. These terms do not require arbitration or waive collective remedies available by law.
If a provision is unenforceable, it will not apply to the extent it is unenforceable. The remaining provisions continue only so far as the agreement can lawfully remain in effect.
